The first trans-Saharan race

In 1924, Louis Audouin-Dubreuil and Georges Estienne met in a real 550 km race across the Sahara. Audouin-Dubreuil driving a Citroën and Estienne aboard a strange 6-wheel Renault.
The outcome of this first competition remained uncertain, as stated by Captain Léon Lehuraux, a witness at the time who said: "Only the Sahara was defeated".
The sporting raid accompanied by a speed record and a test of construction techniques is replaced by a long-distance race over several months with a far more ambitious goal: fame.
All the elements are there to initiate "The Great Race" which combines speed and endurance.
Effectivement, il est prévu quelque chose dans le genre, mais chut !
Alors cette course, pourrait elle faire l'objet d'une future campagne : une extension avec recto verso l'Australie et les Etats-Unis et, dans cette campagne l'équipage Renault et Citroën en opposition avec un nouveau gameplay en add-on.
